Seminar description:
In this seminar, you will empirically investigate a research question from the domain of applied econometrics & health. Using Stata, you will conduct similar econometric analyses as previous, published scientific research, but you will be using different datasets for this. You will write up your findings in the style of a scientific paper. In this way, this seminar provides an excellent preparation for an empirical master thesis. Further details will be given during the introductory meeting.
Pre-requisites:
For students who are not from the QDEM-program, it is recommended that you have previously taken at least one master course from our chair, or the chair of Professor Schank. If you have not done so, it is essential that you have taken the Stata Introduction which is offered by Dr. Constantin Weiser at the beginning of the summer semester. Students who have not yet taken any advanced empirical module, and who are not planning to do so in this winter semester, are recommended NOT to choose this seminar.
